Ein immersiver Abend, der Interaktion, Klang, Video und Bewegung verbindet. Um verborgene Geschichten und „geisterhafte“ Stimmen in uns mittels kollektiver Erzählens zum Vorschein zu bringen.

Step into an immersive event where stories, music, and movement bring the past into conversation with the present. Led by Jaskaran Singh, this event unfolds like a game—rolling dice, uncovering questions, and encountering “spirits” that guide us through moments of reflection, discussion, and performance.
These spirits—Kali, Sisi, Lilith, Dante, Shakespeare, and more—are not mystical beings but symbols, and memories that link us to history, cultural narratives, and personal reflection. They act as hyperlinks, playfully shaping our engagement with identity, nostalgia, and transformation.
The evening blends live storytelling, sound, video, and movement, featuring contributions from contemporary historian Karin Schneider, philosopher Manu Sharma, and recorded cello by Laura Pudelek. We listen to voices from the city of Linz, revisit forgotten memories, and close with a collective dance and song.
As the final chapter of the City Voices Stadt Austausch project and the Trans(T*).DisCity/City Voices initiative, this event asks: Is history still following us, or are we free to move forward? What if, to navigate the future, we need guidance—not from people, but from spirits of the past?
This participatory event, like the project and initiative, believes to foster dialogue, imagination, and reflection through performance and exchange in both public spaces and cultural institutions.

Kurzbiographie
Jaskaran Singh ist ein transdisziplinärer Performancekünstler*, Forscher* und Pädagoge*, der in Wien und Linz lebt. Seine* Arbeit erforscht geopolitisches Bewusstsein, Raum-Zeit-Anomalien und menschliche Konflikte an der Schnittstelle von Sozialarbeit, Performance, Film und wissenschaftlicher Forschung. Mit dem Avatar Harmonical.Self verbindet seine* Praxis künstlerische und kulturelle Medien und schafft einen Dialog zwischen öffentlichen und institutionellen Räumen.

Durch seine* Linzer Organisation trivium leitet Jaskaran langfristige Projekte zu sozialer Transformation, darunter City Voices, L-INKED und place of belonging. Seine* weiteren Arbeiten, darunter In-between Privacy, Hibernating Further und MachinedHuman!, setzen sich mit Digitalisierung, ökologisch-psychologischen Aspekten, Körperpolitik und Posthumanismus auseinander.

Jaskarans* Arbeiten wurden unter anderem beim ARS Electronica Festival, Imagetanz Festival, Impulstanz Vienna International Dance Festival, Nordico Stadtmuseum Linz und der Europäischen Theaternacht präsentiert. Darüber hinaus leitet er* improvisationsbasierte Workshops und pädagogische Projekte, in denen er* Methoden wie Playful Bodies, City Swarming und Deforming Body Ideologies entwickelt, um die Verbindung zwischen Bewegung, Identität und Bewusstsein zu vertiefen.
