Er erforscht an der Kunstuniversität Linz neue Arten des Ausdrucks und des Spiels mit Klang, Kunst und Technologie an den Schnittstellen von Computermusik, lokativen Medien und Mensch-Maschinen-Interaktion. Seine Arbeiten wurden weltweit aufgeführt und präsentiert, unter anderem am ZKM Karlsruhe, club TransMediale, Ars Electronica, Sónar und STEIM. (VK) In der Klangkomposition SDR verwendet Tomas SDR-Klangquellen, auf Software basierte Radios, die er in elektronische Musikinstrumente verwandelt. Die solcherart entstehenden Klanggebilde entfalten in ihrer Frequenz und Amplitude reichhaltige Spannungsfelder und tasten sich entlang des Radio-Spectrums (1MHz - 3GHz) diverser europäischer Ballungsräume (Linz, Cambridge, Madrid, etc.).
