Art's Birthday 2016

Art's Birthday wurde 1963 vom französischen Fluxus-Künstler Robert Filliou ins Leben gerufen, als "Eternal Network" und "Fête permanente".

Der diesjährige 1,000,053ste Geburtstag der Kunst ist Robert Adrian X (1935 - 2015) gewidmet, einem Pionier der Telekommunikationskunst. Robert Adrian X lebte seit 1972 in Wien und präsentierte einige seiner Werke, wie "The World in 24 Hours" bei Ars Electronica in Linz.

During the day we are receiving and transmitting pictures and text on the frequency of 7.067Mhz OE5FXC.
It will be our small tribute to artist Robert Adrian X who worked and presented some of his works in Linz.
The happening is proposed by Enrique Tomás from Kunstuni Linz, Interface Cultures and his students and hosted by "Messschiff Eleonore" floating in the Danube river.
It will be streamed by dorf tv (Internet) and Franz Xaver (Ham Radio Slow-Scan TV, FAX and CW) and supported by Maruska Polakova.
