ART OF PUNK - Exhibition film with curator Julia Staudach

“Art of Punk” is the world's first museum exhibition by artists from the CryptoPunks community. 

From September 4, 2024, the Francisco Carolinum will provide a unique insight into the creative dynamics of a community that operates at the intersection of art and technology. Traditional art forms such as painting and sculpture will be presented alongside digital works such as AI art, NFTs and generative art as well as on-chain art, poetry and music.

Only works by artists who own one or more CryptoPunks are exhibited. This NFT project from 2017 has significantly shaped the world of digital art, inspired countless other NFT projects and is now part of museum collections such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris or the MOCA in L.A.

A selection was made from a large number of submissions, showing a representative cross-section of the work of this community. Names such as Kevin Abosch, Beeple, Rainer Hosch, Deekay Gordon Berger, Tom Sachs, Claire Silver, Sarah Ridgley, Cryptowiener, Coldie, 0xDeafbeef and many more are represented.
