Welcome to the exhibition Art of Punk in Linz, Austria in the Museum Francisco Carolinum. Here we see the art of almost 90 artists that are holders of CryptoPunks. CryptoPunks is an NFT project from 2017. It was originally free to claim and now they are traded for big amounts. But this doesn't matter. What matters is that this community is very creative. There's lots of people in it that produce amazing art and this is what I wanted to show with this exhibition. The concept is like this. You see on top of the artwork the artist is represented as their punk and the silver lines connect the punk personality with their artwork. If you want more information, just scan the QR codes and you will find a text explaining the artworks. This is the first room. Here we get a little explanation about what are CryptoPunks. We see a couple of artworks of early punk adopters like Jonathan Mann with his daily videos. A lot of them are about punks. In the next room, there will be a lot of early punk claimers and people who gave back to the community by founding platforms like Artblocks. We have Dada Arts represented by Judy Maam and the Pizza Dough by Snacks. So there's a lot of works that are actually giving back to the space. So there's a lot of works that are actually giving back to the space. A brief history of CryptoPunks in 45,360 stamps was created for this exhibition. It shows the punks' creation, some milestones in their history up till today. This pixelated punk by CryptoVina, the artist is Ross, takes us into the pixelated world of the metaverse. So people that visit this exhibition get the chance to take a selfie with him. Red Lion and Gazette is a three-year lasting project by Red Lion and Dudley. And they covered the events in the NFT space with the weekly NFT Gazette. And you can see how much love went into each of these. There are two poems in this exhibition. One was created for this exhibition by Lore Punk. It's about punks. And another one called Wednesday by Shibboleth. This room is an attempt to show the variety of various kinds of media use. There's paintings, mixed media, projection, street art, monitors with animations, a couple of NFTs also on display. This artwork by Sarah Ridgely allows you to generate a date with your future self. In my case it's 26th of April 2035, 9.30 in the morning. And visitors are allowed to take their blind dates home. Here we have two beautiful examples of artists collaborating with AI. Gordon Berger fed an AI with all his art and then found out that it started simulating his signature. He then took the signature pieces and inscribed them on the Bitcoin blockchain but also in these cubes by hand. So we have a play between physical and digital art. And Pindar van Arman trained a robot to paint and make his own decisions, all also based on AI. We have some kind of emotional, neuronal networks and logic ones. So this is actually a robot painting and making its own decisions. In the third room we have a lot of photography and post-photography. We have Kevin Abauch's works that are base pictures for his fully AI-generated movie. We have Rainer Hosch with his portraits of Iggy Pop and a lot of photography from all over the world. This rocket by Tom Sachs, the name is Clarice Starling is represented here physically and also as an NFT in a Metaverse exhibition. In the last room we have a lot of animated stuff, digitally drawn pieces, generative art and also a collaboration between Amy Cusano and Claire Silva for Gucci. People is famous for his every days that he started back in 2007 and he's really doing one every day and for this exhibition I selected three that have a connection with crypto parks. I hope you can come and take a look yourself.
