Das kooperative Community-Event stellt in Linz – als „Kleine Schwester“ der Berliner Sample Science – die Methode und Kunstform SAMPLING in den Fokus der Musikproduktion. Das Format bietet Produzent*innen ein kuratiertes musikalisches Ausgangsstück und zwei Stunden Zeit, um damit etwas Neues zu erschaffen. Seit 2020 bietet die Stadtwerkstatt dafür den gemeinsamen Raum, Eliot (Backlab) fungiert als Mastermind und 2022 adaptierte DORF-TV das Event als TV-Sendung. Hinter all dem steht der Gedanke der Inklusion und Offenheit gegenüber allen Genres, jeder Ästhetik und den unterschiedlichen Erfahrungslevels. Alle sind willkommen, um gemeinsam Musik zu produzieren – it’s as simple as that!
