Saturday night is a great night for fights as a pair of the four recognized boxing welterweight titles will be on the line in Los Angeles. IBF champion Errol Spence Jr. (25-0, 21 KOs) will take on WBC champ Shawn Porter (30-2-1, 17 KOs) in a 147-pound unification bout from the Staples Center.

The fight serves as only the 11th welterweight unification bout in boxing history and is a compelling matchup on paper with the younger, more highly regarded Spence facing a rugged brawler in Porter. Despite the complications Porter could present, Spence is a considerable favorite at the betting window.

Errol Spence Jr. (born March 3, 1990) is an American professional boxer who has held the IBF welterweight title since 2017. As an amateur in the welterweight division, he won three consecutive United States national championships and represented the U.S. at the 2012 Olympics, where he reached the quarter-finals. In 2015, Spence was named Prospect of the Year by ESPN.

Shawn Christian Porter (born October 27, 1987) is an American professional boxer. He is a two-time welterweight world champion, having held the WBC title since 2018, and previously the IBF title from 2013 to 2014. As of August 2019, Porter is ranked as the world's fourth best active welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and Boxrec, and fifth by The Ring magazine. He is particularly known for his aggressive pressure fighting style, physical strength and high work rate.

Who will dominate the boxing ring? Find out on Saturday, September 28 as Crazy Horse 3 hosts a viewing party. See you there!
The welterweight title unification fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter on Saturday is a sure bet. Not in terms of who wins—Spence is the favorite, but Porter is capable of pulling off the upset—but in terms of fight fans getting what they crave.

Spence (25-0, 21 KOs), the undefeated IBF world titleholder, is a gifted technician with a stiff jab and sleep-inducing power in both hands. He is Ring's No. 6 pound-for-pound fighter, trailing only Terence "Bud" Crawford (No. 2 overall) among welterweights.
