Die Dokumentation erzählt die Geschichte der Ordensschwester Ingrid Sturm aus Linz/Österreich, die es sich zur Lebensaufgabe gemacht hat, Menschen in Rumänien zu unterstützen. Mit zahlreichen Projekten hilft sie Personen und Organisationen vor Ort, die durch die Umbruchssituation im Land, durch Krankheit, Unfall oder Behinderung an den Rand ihrer Existenz gedrängt werden. Besonders dramatisch ist die Lage der Kinder, die - meist als Sozialwaisen in Kinderheime abgeschoben - ohne die Hilfestellungen von Schwester Ingrid keine Perspektive für ihr zukünftiges Leben hätten. Die DVD wurde ohne jegliche öffentliche Förderung in freiwilliger, ehrenamtlicher Tätigkeit produziert. 50% des Verkaufspreises gehen an die Projekte von Schwester Ingrid.
