The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The The Thank you guys for being here and welcome. First of all, can you introduce yourself and say where you're from really quickly? Hi, my name is Tomas Simatovic. I'm a choreographer, performing artist and dancer and I'm from Slovenia and I live in Austria. Hi, I'm Andras Meseric. I'm a dancer, singer, poet, performing artist. I come from Budapest originally and I live in Salzburg, Austria. Hi, my name is Miriam Stadler. I'm a dancer, performer, also choreographer, amongst other things. And I live in Linz. I was studying in Salzburg. So you guys are all artists. Why did you choose to make art as your career? What was your personal reason behind that? Well, simply because I'm drawn to express myself creatively. And the art I chose is performing arts and dance so I had to in a way find a way how to articulate my mind, body and spirit and emotion and everything through the movement, through the body. I would say it was an evident choice because a lot of the things that I do through an art form as an expression are generally things that I do in my life as a processing mechanism. I have to say I didn't really actively choose art it was actually the other way around. I feel like art chose me. I found my passion in dance and in performing and that's where I landed. Okay and you're all here in Hallstatt. Why did you choose Hallstatt? Like what's so special for you? We chose it because the open call for the residency was from Hallstatt. So first, that was the first thing that came out. And specifically in this context, and what was attracting to us was the notion of retreat as a place where we can retreat our own practice and see how it can develop and how to implement it in this particular space which on one hand it's very it's beautiful it's accommodating it's very rich the nature is fantastic and on the other hand it has also a very strong historical connection to difficult themes. You're all working on this project together, right? Right? Yes, okay. What's like the idea behind it? How did you come up with the idea? The theme that was the most resonating for all of us was domestic violence, especially in the context of Femizid. And somehow this resonated the strongest with all the three of us. You're currently working on the project. What's the execution like? Are there any problems or is everything going well? Of course there are difficulties. I think in every course there are difficulties, I think in every process there are difficulties this practice that we've been working on together and which now Miriam is also involved in practicing in a way inherently goes consciously into difficulty and tries to deal with it through going through it so yeah, there's difficulty but I think we're having consciously into difficulty and tries to deal with it through going through it so yeah there's difficulty but I think we're having also a good time the theme of the call was deep like was also to go deep so we also worked a lot with this underground like something underground something under the skin something really hidden in the body and now my very last question is what should viewers take from your your project like what's your vision of that maybe you haven't said a lot so well I always want to move people with my art like I want to touch them I want to move people with my art. Like I want to touch them. I want that they experience something they wouldn't experience in everyday life. Well, I'm sure you achieved this. You seem like a great team. So thank you so much for the interview and good luck with everything. Thank you.
